The challenge
A 1990s three-layer felt roof over a kitchen extension had blistered and ponded, with damp appearing at the junction with the main house. The room was also cold and dark year-round.
Recommended solution
We rebuilt the deck with correct falls, installed a warm-deck PIR insulation build-up, finished in EPDM single-ply, and designed in two flat rooflights and a lantern to transform daylight levels.

- New firrings set to a 1:60 fall toward a repositioned outlet
- 120mm warm-deck PIR insulation layer
- Fully adhered EPDM single-ply membrane
- Powder-coated aluminium edge trims and new upstand detailing
